About this race

The La Montee de la Madeleine 10 km is a mountain trail race held in late November in Saint-Die-des-Vosges, located in the Vosges region of eastern France. The race begins at GEOPARC Saint-Die-des-Vosges at 10:00 AM, ascending 500 meters over its 10 km length to the finish at Col du Haut-Jacques. Despite its short distance, the course demands consistent uphill effort. The route forms a single loop within the Madeleine massif, with 98% of the path crossing natural trails through mountain and forest landscapes. Participants seeking a more demanding challenge can opt for the 15 km race, which includes 800 meters of climbing. Additionally, the event provides a 10 km walking option, broadening its appeal beyond just competitive trail runners. Now in its sixth edition, the race maintains a distinct character: beginning in town, ascending into the Vosges mountains, and concluding at the mountain pass.
