About this race
La Virade de l'Espoir d'Ecotay de l'Olme is a charity trail run, walk, and mountain bike event held in Ecotay-l'Olme, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France, typically in late September. It supports the fight against cystic fibrosis, echoing the Virades' call to “give their breath to those who lack it.” Participants can select trail distances ranging from a 6 km option to a challenging 22 km route, with intermediate choices for those seeking a moderate challenge.
The courses lead participants through the countryside surrounding the Forez plain, offering distinct walking circuits and a mountain bike option alongside the trail races. The 22 km trail is the most frequented, and the walking program provides a comprehensive experience for non-runners. Beyond the races, the event features concerts, a tombola, pony rides, face painting, a clown show, refreshments, and children’s games. On-site registration contributes to the event's local, community atmosphere.
