Les 6 Heures Solidaires - Vire is a six-hour foot race held at the Hippodrome de Vire Normandie on the route de Pont Farcy. All participants begin at 10:00. Runners may compete individually or divide the six hours among relay teams of two, three, or four. The entry fee is 15 euros per person. Bocage, Ensemble et Solidaires organizes the event for AFM Téléthon, with proceeds directed to Téléthon.
The loop measures 4 km and follows a circuit on and around the hippodrome, meaning runners return to the same location rather than following a point-to-point course. The varied surface contributes to its appeal, incorporating the horse track, grass, paved paths, and sunken lanes. Solo runners and two-person relay teams must meet the age requirement specified by the organizer, while three- and four-person relay teams have a slightly younger age eligibility.
