Les Ribines de l'Aber Ildut is a December trail race held in Plouarzel, Finistère, Brittany, France. Runners follow paths near Pointe Saint-Mathieu, with main distances of 9, 16, and 27 kilometers. A Minitrail is available for younger participants. One Trail XS version covers 24 kilometers with 700 meters of elevation gain, indicating that the longer races involve more than just flat coastal running.
The event attracts a strong local field. By its fourth edition, almost 600 runners participated, even during harsh weather conditions near the Kerloas menhir. Jacques Lamour and Emmanuelle Jacob have both secured multiple victories here. Lamour recounted one win as a decisive solo effort after breaking away from a small leading group around the sixth kilometer. His description also highlights the course's characteristics: the valley offered shelter from the wind, while the higher terrain presented a greater challenge.
