Marathon Seine Eure is a flat road race held in October in Normandy, with all events concluding in Val-de-Reuil. The marathon begins in Amfreville-sur-Iton and follows the standard 42.195 km distance. The half marathon starts in Le Vaudreuil, covering 21.0975 km, and then joins the latter part of the marathon course. An Ekiden relay is also offered, dividing the marathon distance among six participants with legs of 5 km, 10 km, 5 km, 10 km, 5 km, and 7.195 km.
The marathon route passes through several Eure communities: Acquigny, Pinterville, Louviers, Incarville, Saint-Étienne-du-Vauvray, Saint-Pierre-du-Vauvray, Porte-de-Seine, Mesnil-de-Poses, and Léry, before reaching Val-de-Reuil. The course is designed for consistent pacing, with the marathon elevation ranging from 5 m to 31 m, featuring 94 m of ascent and 111 m of descent. The half marathon is even flatter. The event is organized by Association Marathon Sport Evénement, with assistance from Etoile Athlétique Lovérienne and Val de Reuil Athlétique Club. Participants include individual marathoners, half-marathon runners, and teams formed by colleagues or friends for the Ekiden.
