Open Fast Hiking - Ventron 2026

The Open Fast Hiking - Ventron event takes place in Ventron, in the Vosges mountains. It offers a refreshing outdoor experience with challenging terrain. Participants can choose their own pace and format. There are two options: DÉCOUVERTE (Discovery) is 11 km with 520 meters of elevation gain, starting at 9:30 AM. OPEN is 19.9 km with 973 meters of elevation gain, starting at 9:00 AM. The concept is autonomous hiking, either solo or in pairs, using a map or GPS track. A light backpack and poles are recommended. The event emphasizes enjoying the experience over racing against the clock. The start is at the Chemin du Plain parking lot. Ventron is described as an ideal location for combining nature and mountain activities with unpretentious trails. After the hike, visitors can explore nearby attractions such as Lake Kruth-Wildenstein, Wildenstein Castle, the town of Gérardmer, or the Abbey of Remiremont.
