About this race
The Serein Argentalet Aventure begins next to the Serein at the natural campsite in Montberthault, a village in Côte-d'Or bordering the Morvan. This trail-running event takes place over a weekend, offering 9 km and 16 km trail races, a 9 km walk, and children's races. Semur Athlétisme Aventure organizes it with the town hall, supported by local volunteers and La Harde de l'Auxois.
The route runs along the Serein initially, then shifts to paths beside its tributary, the Argentalet. The races are exclusively on trails, featuring technical singletrack through woodland. The 9 km course involves approximately 150 m of elevation gain, while the 16 km course has about 300 m. One past edition saw only 92 finishers, suggesting a local trail gathering rather than a large-scale competition. The weekend may also feature a pasta party and a presentation by ultra-runner Stéphane Brogniart, known for his participation in the Petite Trotte à Léon.
