About this race
Trail de la Source du Lison is a mid-October trail race based around Crouzet-Migette and Nans-sous-Sainte-Anne in the Doubs, eastern France. It offers two hilly off-road races: La Gégé-Niaud, 21 to 22 km with 1,000 to 1,280 m of climbing, and L'Infernale, 10 to 12 km with 500 to 550 m of climbing. This is mountain-and-forest running, with steep climbs, ridge paths, descents, and aid stations.
La Gégé-Niaud starts from Crouzet-Migette, heads toward Montmahoux on a wide path, reaches Mont for a 360-degree view, then uses a singletrack climb onto the Fallouse ridges before dropping toward Gros Chêne and the Source du Lison. Later it climbs to Vieux-Sainte-Anne, passes through the combe de Bracon, descends toward Migette, and returns to Crouzet. L'Infernale starts with flat ground and a slight climb, then sends runners toward Vieux-Sainte-Anne and down toward Gros Chêne and the Source du Lison. A recent edition had 571 finishers, drawing a solid local trail crowd.
