About this race
Trail des Lutins is a small nature race held in Bussus-Bussuel, located in the Somme region of northern France. It is organized by the local association Les Zhironloins. The primary running event covers 12 km, with the course winding between Bussus and Ailly-le-Haut-Clocher. Alongside this, an 8 km walk circles the village, commencing at dusk.
This event benefits the Téléthon and attracts a local following, typically drawing around 120 participants for the trail run and approximately 200 for the village walk. The race emphasizes practicality and community spirit, offering runners a refreshment stop midway and mulled wine at the finish line. A complimentary raffle, made possible by sponsors, is also featured. The Trail des Lutins serves as the opening event for the Téléthon activities coordinated across several nearby communes, including Saint-Riquier, Brucamps, Buigny l’Abbé, Bussus-Bussuel, Oneux, and Yaucourt-Bussus. Les Zhironloins initially supported the Téléthon through theater events, and organizers have considered introducing cycling and equestrian routes in future years.
