Trail'in Fontenay 2026

Trail'in Fontenay is a trail-running event held in Fontenay-sur-Eure, located in the Eure-et-Loir department of central France, typically occurring in late September. Organized by the Tennis Club de Fontenay sur Eure, the event offers participants multiple race options, including a 42 km nature marathon, shorter trail runs of approximately 21 km, 16 km, and 9 km, and a brief discovery route. Walks and children’s races are also part of the program. The primary courses traverse Fontenay-sur-Eure and Barjouville, utilizing local paths and the Eure river countryside instead of urban streets. The marathon consists of a single 42 km loop with approximately 252 m of elevation gain. The longer mid-distance option features slightly over 200 m of ascent, presenting a rolling terrain rather than a steep challenge. The participation of marathon runners, shorter-distance trail runners, walkers, juniors, and very young children contributes to a community-focused atmosphere, with volunteers assisting the tennis club in managing the event.
