Trail Margeride

Trail Margeride is a trail-running weekend held in Le Malzieu-Ville, a medieval town in Lozere, Occitanie, southern France. It takes place in mid-September and features four races. The longer Trail S race covers 43 km with 1,300 m of elevation gain. The event begins in Le Malzieu and proceeds into the Margeride region, within Gevaudan, the area associated with the Beast of Gevaudan legend. Organized by the Trail Margeride association, it is a nature-sport weekend. The focus is on a series of mountain and countryside routes surrounding a small historic town, rather than a single race.
