About this race
The Clowne Half Marathon is a 13.1-mile road race in Clowne, Derbyshire, held in November on an undulating one-lap course. It begins at The Arc Leisure Centre on High Street and concludes at Clowne Community Centre, meaning participants do not finish where they started. Organisers transport bags from the start's secure baggage area to the finish after the race begins.
The route departs Clowne centre, winds through nearby villages, and returns to town for the finish. The race employs chip timing, features water and distance markers, and has an entry limit of 900. Participants receive the event's hoody, and £1 from each entry supports the Tiny Tim Trust. Race headquarters are at The Arc, though parking is off-site and changing facilities at the start are limited, with no showers available.
