Glamis Castle Festive Trail Runs 2026

The Glamis Castle Festive Trail Runs take place within the private grounds of Glamis Castle in Angus, featuring short off-road distances on a winter race morning. The event includes a Festive Family 1 mile for children aged 3 to 11, alongside 5 mile and 10 mile trail runs for older participants. The longer races commence after the family run, with the 5 mile open to ages 11 and up, and the 10 mile for those aged 15 and over. The routes traverse woodland paths, estate parkland, grassy areas, forest tracks, and gently undulating trails across the castle estate. The courses are largely non-technical and runnable, with the 10 mile race consisting of two laps. A parent or adult guardian may accompany a child in the family mile without charge. Canicross is permitted in the 5 mile and 10 mile races, allowing one well-controlled dog per runner, with dogs required to be on a lead at all times.
