Jurassic Coast 100 2026

FRI, June 19, 2026 · Poole , United Kingdom

About this race

The Jurassic Coast 100 takes participants along the South West Coast Path on England's south coast, crossing the World Heritage coastline between Dorset and East Devon. The series features shorter races of 33km, 50km, and 100km, alongside the 105-mile Jurassic Extinction. Routes conclude in Exmouth, with starts positioned along the coast at South Haven Point, Nothe Fort, Lyme Regis, and Beer. The 105-mile race proceeds from South Haven Point near Poole to Exmouth, accumulating approximately 5,100m of elevation gain and allowing 38 hours to complete. The 100km route from Weymouth to Exmouth gains about 2,900m and is open to both runners and walkers. All events mandate self-navigation on the coast path, presenting a challenge that includes managing cliffs, ascents, weather, and route-finding. The coastline itself is a significant feature, showcasing 185 million years of exposed Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous rock formations, including arches, stacks, landslip zones, fossil cliffs, Old Harry Rocks at the eastern extent, and the Geoneedle at Orcombe Point marking the western boundary.
