The Run Scotland Rannoch Marathon / Half Marathon begins at Weller Poley Park in Kinloch Rannoch, near Pitlochry in Perthshire. It features 21.1 km and 42.2 km road races held in autumn. The marathon covers 42.2 km on country roads, including 259 metres of elevation gain and reaching a peak of approximately 249 metres. It is not a flat course, though it remains on paved rural roads.
The course starts with a circuit of Kinloch Rannoch before proceeding onto country roads through the Loch Rannoch area. Race-day logistics are straightforward: parking is available in a field near the start, marshals guide vehicles, number collection is a short walk away, and the start line is visible from the parking area. A key practical note for participants is that the start line toilets can experience long queues.
