The Wheatsheaf 5km charity trail run 2026

A new 5km charity trail run. Participants are encouraged to use headtorches and enjoy the countryside. A drink will be provided at the pub at the finish. The event raises money for the Whizz Kidz charity, with £2 from each entry donated to the cause. There is an additional £2 charge for non TRA/UKA members. Parking is available in a public car park near the village green. The route is largely unmarked; participants should download the route narrative and GPX file. Compulsory equipment includes a phone and a head torch. Advisable equipment includes high-visibility clothing, waterproofs, and warm clothing. Race numbers can be collected from 18:00, and the run starts at 18:30. At the finish, participants must register with the timer and then hand in their race number at the bar to receive a pint, glass of wine, soft drink, or hot drink. Food can be pre-ordered.
