8th Acheloos Run 2026 - Half Marathon 21.1K

The Acheloos Run is a 21.1 km point-to-point half marathon held in Neochori, Aetolia-Acarnania. It begins at 08:00 from Plateia Iroon. The event is organized by the Acheloos Running Team and the Municipality of Messolonghi. A low entry fee is charged, and return transport is provided post-race. The course runs alongside the Acheloos River, passing through Katohi village. It then crosses a protected wetland within the Messolonghi-Aetoliko lagoon area before concluding at Louro Beach on the Ionian coast. The final section offers a 17 km stretch along the beach, with birdlife in the lagoon and a beach party at the finish.
