Kronion Perasma is a 68 km road ultramarathon held in Agios Petros, a mountain village in Kynouria, Arcadia, situated at approximately 934 metres elevation. The race commences at 10:00 a.m. on a circular asphalt route, beginning and ending in the village. This summer ultra features +1466 metres of elevation gain and a 10 hour 30 minute overall time limit. Intermediate cutoffs are established at 18.7 km, 45.5 km, and 59.5 km. Now in its 13th year, the event is organized by the Municipality of Northern Cynourias and the Agios Petros Community.
The course encircles Mount Parnon and the summit of Megali Tourla, offering forest shade for a significant portion of the day, open plains, and a short vista towards the Argolic Gulf. It is designed for experienced runners; participants must be 18 or older and have completed a marathon or ultra within the last three years, requiring a medical certificate. The race frequently serves as training for longer Greek ultras like Spartathlon. Aid is provided at 17 stations, offering water, electrolytes, Coca-Cola, bananas, nuts, snacks, and pasta, with drop bags available from the fourth station. Medals are awarded to all finishers, and the top six male and female runners receive cups.
