About this race
BMX Freestyle Park Országos Bajnokság is Hungary’s official national championship for BMX freestyle park, run as a UCI BMX Freestyle Park OB event. The race day is built around short judged BMX runs rather than a start-to-finish road race: riders use ramps, jumps, and park features to show tricks and control. Elite Park Men and Elite Park Women are for riders aged 15 and up, while U15 and U12 categories give younger riders their own field. Amateur riders can enter without a license, and the Open category is aimed at complete beginners with no trick requirement.
The event has been hosted at Factory Aréna, a former factory building with two halls, with space for both Park and Flatland BMX. Earlier editions drew nearly 50 riders and included cash prizes for pro categories, material prizes for the other fields, and Hungarian championship titles for the top riders. Practice usually starts before the main Sunday program, with registration and more free practice in the morning before youth qualifying begins. Helmets are compulsory, bikes need secure handlebar end plugs, only plastic-covered pegs are allowed, and every Open rider receives a medal without ranking.
