Casentino Bike 2026

Casentino Bike is a mountain bike marathon held in Bibbiena, Tuscany's Casentino region. The main race typically occurs in early October, forming part of a weekend event. MTB CASENTINO BIKE, an amateur sports association from Soci, organizes the marathon. Competitive participants require a valid racing license, and timing is managed via chip. The marathon course connects five municipalities in Casentino: Bibbiena, Ortignano Raggiolo, Castel Focognano, Chiusi della Verna, and Poppi. Certain editions may incorporate roads and trails within the National Park of the Casentinesi Forests, including routes usually restricted for such events. A cyclotourism and excursion option is available alongside the race, making the weekend accessible to non-competitors. Casentino Bike is also featured in Italian mountain bike series like Coppa Toscana, Rampitek, Appennino Superbike, and Challenge Foreste Casentinesi. It concludes the Appennino Superbike and Coppa Toscana Mtb series.
