About this race
World Triathlon Cup Miyazaki is a sprint-distance triathlon held in Miyazaki, Japan, situated on the country’s southern coastline. Competitors navigate a condensed format: a 750-metre swim, a 20-kilometre bike course, and a 5-kilometre run. These short distances ensure a fast-paced race from the outset, offering minimal opportunity to recover from an initial swim deficit, a tactical error on the bike, or a slow transition.
The course features a single-lap swim, four laps for the cycling segment, and two laps for the run, allowing spectators to easily track the race's progression. This event is part of the World Triathlon Cup series, attracting international competitors who, while not in the top championship tier, still represent considerable talent. The women's competition attracts world-class athletes, including emerging racers aiming for higher rankings and seasoned competitors skilled in managing close, strategic sprint races.
