Kennedymars Haaksbergen 2026

The Twentse Kennedymars Haaksbergen is an 80-kilometer walking event, held day and night in Haaksbergen. It begins at sporthal De Bouwmeester at 22:00 in September. Wandelkring Door Inspanning Ontspanning organizes this event, which consists of two 40-kilometer loops. Participants return to the sports hall after completing the first loop before starting the second. The night loop crosses Haaksbergen’s village areas and heads toward Enschede. The daytime loop goes through Buurserzand, a nature reserve featuring heathland, grassland, and small woods. Rest stops are located approximately every 7 to 8 kilometers, varying from simple checkpoints to fully catered stations. Participants receive breakfast upon their return to the sports hall. Reflective gear is mandatory for the night portion, and a flashlight is highly recommended. Red Cross volunteers are stationed along the route and at the hall. The predominantly unpaved second loop presents a greater challenge than a standard road walk.
