Slachterin Wommels 2026

Slachterin Wommels is a small running event near Wommels in Friesland, offering 5 km, 10 km, and 21 km distances, with starts scheduled for late morning. It is organized by Sportvereniging Friesland, an Atletiekunie-affiliated club that describes itself as the largest running family in North Netherlands. The event has a participant limit of 350 runners. The 5 km and 10 km races feature youth categories alongside men's and women's divisions, while the 21 km race is open to men and women. The route follows the Slachtedijk and Slachtebrug, with the Kromme climb on the bridge presenting the course's most challenging section. The start is located outside Wommels, with the finish near the registration and changing areas. Showers are available at the adjacent tennis court.
