Fýri Trail by Salomon is a mountain trail-running festival held at Fýri Resort in Hemsedal, Norway, typically from Thursday to Sunday in September. Participants can select from 18 km, 29 km, and 56 km distances, catering to those seeking a challenging yet achievable trail race and those aiming for an ultra-distance mountain run. The 29 km event serves as the Nordic final for the Salomon Golden Trail Series, though all races are open to the public. The festival, in its early years, attracted over six hundred participants for its first edition.
The 18 km course presents the most accessible option, featuring approximately 600 metres of elevation gain over varied terrain. The 29 km race includes around 1,300 metres of ascent, incorporating technical single track and the "Queen of the Hill" section—a 3 km climb with 550 metres of elevation gain. The 56 km Fýri Ultra is the most demanding, with roughly 2,600 metres of climbing, a ridge traverse from Gravset, and a mountain trail leading towards the climbing area at Skurvefjellet. The weekend also offers test runs, workshops, talks, guided expeditions, group meals, a banquet, and a "Mud & Champagne" party with live music.
