Vinterkarusellen 2. løp is the second race in Ålesund’s winter running series, a local race tradition that began in the mid-1980s near Furmyra and Åse. Participants can enter this single race or register for the entire series, making it a winter event rather than a standalone race. The race now takes place on Gamle Brusdals veg, a route established after the series relocated from its original Furmyra/Åse location. Ålesundløpene now manages the event, and the series maintains a modest scale: the largest single race in the series had 144 finishers.
