Auckland Duathlon Championships 2026

Māngere Bridge provides a distinct setting for this run-bike-run, with Manukau Harbour on one side and the bridge itself a focal point. The 2026 Auckland Duathlon Championships has a history, too; Auckland City Tri Club has hosted it since 2009, following its start as the Pukekohe Sprint Duathlon. It has the feel of a club race with significant stakes, rather than a large-scale event. The running sections follow concrete paths and gravel roads within Ambury Regional Park, suitable for those preferring a firm trail over cross-country. The cycling leg uses quiet, traffic-managed roads around Kiwi Esplanade, Andes Avenue, Muir Avenue, and Ambury Road. Participants range from novices to experienced multisport athletes, with competitors aged 12 and over. Prize money is available for top finishers.
