Bieg Beskidnika is a mountain running event held in Folusz, within Poland’s Beskid Niski region. The start, finish, and fan zone are all located in Stanislaw Zajac Park of Recreation and Ecological Education. Participants can select either a 6 km route or a 21 km route, accommodating those seeking a short mountain race or a more challenging half-marathon distance. The event has been held annually since 2016 and is organized by the Poviat Starosty, the Youth Culture Center, and the Jaslo Cycling Association.
The race name originates from an old Beskid term for mountain bandits, and local legends imbue the routes with character. The longer course crosses the Kornuty rock reserve, named after the legendary bandit Kornut. Another tale suggests Sypko concealed treasure in the nearby Mroczna Cave. These elements lend Bieg Beskidnika a distinct local character, presenting it not merely as a run through hills and forest, but as a competition connected to the folklore, rock formations, and historical narratives of Beskid Niski.
