Tam i Nazad is a small trail race in Szczepanek, in Poland’s Opolskie region, with the start and finish on the sports field by the forest on ul. Malinowa. The name means “there and back,” which fits the race exactly: runners head from Szczepanek toward Gąsiorowice and return to where they started. The programme includes a short 6 km race, a longer route of about 15.6 km, and a 6 km Nordic walking option for people who want to cover the short course with poles.
The route is designed to be approachable for beginners while still giving regular trail runners a proper off-road outing. Children’s cross-country races on short distances are part of the event, so families can join without everyone needing to run the adult course. The organizers are the Szczepanek Village Renewal Association and the Gąsiorowice village council, and the local feel shows in the details: every participant gets a medal and refreshments, and a GPX route file is available for anyone who wants to check the course in advance.
