Traversée autour du Bassin de Jelenia Góra 2026

The Jelenia Góra Basin Traverse is an extreme ultramarathon challenge in the Polish mountains, testing runners' endurance. The main event is approximately 140 km long, crossing four Sudeten mountain ranges: Karkonosze, Rudawy Janowickie, Góry Kaczawskie, and Góry Izerskie. A shorter, but still demanding, version of approximately 70 km is also offered. Jelenia Góra serves as the start and base for the event. After the race, participants can explore the Lower Silesia region. Nearby attractions include the Cieplice thermal baths for muscle recovery, Chojnik Castle for scenic views of the Karkonosze mountains, the unique 12th-century Scandinavian wooden Wang Church in Karpacz, and local cuisine like Karkonosze kluski izerskie (large potato dumplings). Jelenia Góra is well-connected to other cities like Wrocław and Wałbrzych, making it suitable for a long weekend trip.
