Bieg Szlakiem Księżnej Salomei 2026

The first-ever "Szlakiem Księżnej Salomei" (Along the Trail of Duchess Salomea) run will soon connect two unique places in the region – the Royal Castle in Łęczyca and the Arch-Cathedral in Tum. This is not only a sports event but also a symbolic inauguration of a new investment – a pedestrian and cycling trail, being jointly implemented by our Municipalities. The new route, part of which was built last year on the City's side and will be completed on our neighbor's side during the summer holidays, is a very important element of the local recreational and tourist infrastructure. "The Duchess Salomea Ring" connects the most beautiful historical heritage of the Łódź Voivodeship with an active lifestyle. The run is planned for September 2026 and will be open to everyone – from seasoned runners to amateurs, families with children, and Nordic walking enthusiasts. Participants will have the opportunity to cover a route leading through the picturesque lands of the Łęczyca region, passing by monuments and natural landscapes of our beautiful city.
