The Zlatý maraton Emila Zátopka, also known as the Ostrava Marathon, is a road race held in Ostrava, Czech Republic, each September. Its origins date back to 1954. The full marathon covers 42.2 km through the city, with additional options for a half marathon and a 10.5 km quarter marathon. The race's history has seen some variations; on seven occasions, the main event was shortened to 25 km. Following the passing of its original organizer, Slávek Mozga, the marathon ceased for several years before resuming in 1974.
Winners have predominantly been Czech and formerly Czechoslovak athletes, establishing a distinct local racing character rather than an international elite focus. The event has also hosted the national championship five times. Women began participating in 1974, and since 1986, nearly every edition has featured at least one female finisher. Notable results include Mulugeta Serbessa's eight victories and Petra Pastorová's six consecutive women's wins. The men's course record is 2:19:06 by Pavel Kantorek, and the women's record stands at 2:49:41.
