Meia Maratona Descobrimentos 2026

Meia Maratona Descobrimentos is a Lisbon road race held in late November. The main event is the half marathon, with 10 km and 5 km races also available. The course winds through the city, offering an alternative to remote out-and-back routes. The event includes children’s and junior races, attracting a diverse range of participants beyond just experienced half-marathon runners. The half marathon and 10 km races commence at Praça do Império and conclude by the Museu da Marinha. This route passes several of Lisbon’s significant monuments and sites related to its maritime history. A 4 km walk follows the same start and finish points. Support services, including water and medical aid, are provided according to each distance. The half marathon route has water stations starting at 2.5 km and continuing every 5 km, while the 10 km race offers support at the 5 km mark and the finish line.
