Gränsö Trailrun 2026

Gränsö Trailrun is a November trail race held on Gränsö, near Västervik on Sweden’s east coast. Participants can select either an 8 km or 15 km course, both on well-marked trails within Gränsö nature reserve. The event offers timed racing for those aiming for a specific time and an untimed Fun Run for those who prefer to experience the course without competitive pressure. The route navigates technical paths through the Västervik archipelago landscape. It passes seaside rock formations, coastal cliffs, open pine forests, oak pastures, and the grounds surrounding Gränsö Castle. Västerviks OK is the organizing club. Children aged 12 and under can participate in the Gränsö Kids Trail, and some participants choose to visit the spa at Gränsö Slott after completing their run.
