Celebrity Race Across the World series 3 sends four celebrity pairs 5,900 kilometers across Central America, starting on Isla Mujeres in Mexico and finishing in Colombia’s Península de La Guajira. It aired on BBC One as six hour-long episodes and is the third celebrity edition in the UK Race Across the World franchise. The race is simple: teams must travel from checkpoint to checkpoint without phones, internet, or outside money, using a fixed budget of £950 per person, about the cost of flying the same route. The route crosses a region where teams can make very different choices instead of following one obvious road. The race relies on buses, local assistance, paid odd jobs, and judgment under pressure. The cast included Anita Rani with her dad Bal, Dylan Llewellyn with his mum Jackie, Tyler West with Molly Rainford, and Roman Kemp with his sister Harleymoon. Five checkpoints mandated rest periods, and teams only learned the next destination upon leaving each one. A production crew accompanied each pair for safety, including a producer, driver, researcher, medic/security support, and local fixer, but producers could not give clues or guide decisions.
