25th Annual Black Canyon Triathlon 2026

The Black Canyon Triathlon is a sprint-distance triathlon held annually in Montrose, Colorado, drawing approximately 200 athletes and their families. The Montrose Recreation Foundation presents the event, which offers individual entries for youth and adults, team entries for two or three people (youth and adult), and a family team relay. This USAT-certified event requires participants to have a USAT membership. The age range of competitors typically spans from around 6 years old to 70 years old, contributing to a community race atmosphere rather than a strictly age-group focused competition. Proceeds from the race directly benefit the Montrose community and it is included in the Great Southwest Triathlon Series.
