Binghamton Ugly Sweater 5K 2026

The Binghamton Ugly Sweater 5K is a holiday 5K held at Otsiningo Park in Binghamton, New York. The race begins at 10:00 a.m. and includes a virtual option for those unable to attend in person. Now in its third year, the event's premise is straightforward: complete a 5K run or walk while wearing an ugly sweater, a Christmas costume, or any other festive attire you choose. Participants can register for Team Santa or Team Grinch, while walkers have the option of joining Team Yeti. Awards are presented to overall, masters, and age-group champions. The costume contest holds equal importance, offering prizes for the Ugliest, Most Unique, and Classic Ugly Sweater. All finishers receive Christmas cookies and hot chocolate, along with a custom long-sleeve shirt, a finisher medal or ornament, a digital finisher certificate, and a custom ugly sweater bib. The race supports Team Hopeful, a local nonprofit that partners with Pawlandias to establish a doggy daycare employing individuals with special needs.
