Capital City Century 2026

The Capital City Century is a bike ride in the Springfield area, organized by the Springfield Bicycle Club. It offers routes of 100 miles, 66 miles, 40 miles, and 20 miles, along with a gravel option. All rides begin and end at the Sherman Athletic Club, with every route utilizing the Heritage Route 66 Multiuse Trail. With 54 years of history, the event attracts a diverse group beyond just century riders; families, new cyclists, club members, experienced riders, and volunteers participate together on ride day. The Route 66 theme is featured this year, coinciding with the highway's 100th anniversary. The first 350 people to register will receive a commemorative pint glass, and all finishers will get a medal acknowledging both the CCC ride and Route 66. The variety of distances allows participants to select a relaxed ride or a full century within the same event.
