Chord Energy Houston Corporate 5K

The Chord Energy Houston Corporate 5K is an after-work 5 km run/walk at Memorial Park in Houston, held over several October evenings. It is built around company teams: co-workers run, jog, or walk together, then stay for an outdoor happy hour with refreshments and live entertainment. The event calls itself Houston’s “Largest Office Party,” and that fits the format better than a pure race label. The course starts at Eastern Glades on the East Memorial Park Loop and uses one flat, fast lap around the Seymour Lieberman Trail Loop. More than 52,000 people have finished the event across its history, and recent editions have drawn about 10,000 participants from more than 230 Houston companies. All paces are welcome, and people without a workplace team can join through the Memorial Park Conservancy Team. A portion of registration and sponsorship money supports Memorial Park Conservancy, the nonprofit tied to the park’s restoration and care.
