About this race

DC Peaks is a Utah trail-ultra weekend offering four distances: 100 miles, 50 miles, 55K, and 25K. The 100-mile race begins late morning at Memory Grove in Salt Lake City. The following morning, races commence from Wilderness Park in Kaysville, a church in Centerville, and Mueller Park. Scheduled for early October, the distances position it as a series for ultrarunners, with the 25K providing shorter-course participants access to the same mountain event. The organizers focus on climbing, descending, and aid station strategy, detailing course information by elevation, mileage, and terrain between stops. The 100-mile race mandates prior completion of at least a 50-mile race, ensuring a field with significant ultra experience. The top male and female finishers in the 50-mile race receive complimentary entry into the Bear 100, adding a competitive element. Race directors Jake and Mick also host The Next Aid Station, an ultra-running podcast reflecting the event's direct, humorous style, describing DC Peaks as an ultra created by those who understand the demands beyond 50 miles.
