About this race

The Hooksett Kiwanis 5K Trail Race begins at the Heads Pond trail, located where Hooksett Road intersects Post Road in Hooksett, New Hampshire. This morning trail race is open to runners and walkers. The 5K starts at 8:30 AM, followed by a half-mile Kid's Fun Run for participants aged 12 and under. The Hooksett Kiwanis club, chartered in 2000, organizes the event, with Merrimack County Savings Bank serving as a co-sponsor. The course starts on a hard-packed stone-dust path, transitions to a wooded conservation trail, and concludes at the Hooksett Public Library. Strollers and dogs are prohibited to enhance safety on the narrow trail, manage local traffic, and protect runners and walkers. The first 100 individuals to register will receive T-shirts. Bibs and shirts can be collected prior to race morning. The local Kiwanis club contributes to projects like the Hooksett Community Food Pantry, positioning the race within a larger community service framework.
