Howard's Run Festival is a charity race benefiting the Allegany County Animal Shelter, Maryland's first municipal no-kill shelter. Since 2015, over $40,000 has been raised to support their work. Both the out and back half marathon and the out and back 5K start and finish at the Canal Place stage.
