Maplewood Mile 5K — Run for the Trees 2026

The Maplewood Mile 5K — Run for the Trees starts at 9:00 AM in Maplewood Park. It offers chip timing and live online results. The course is mostly flat and USATF-certified, suitable for runners aiming for a fast time, families, stroller runners, and first-timers. Packet pickup and same-day registration begin at 7:30 AM, with a race briefing and warm-up on the town green before the 5K starts. The course winds through mature maples on paved and crushed-gravel paths, passing a pond and the town’s historic gazebo. The turnaround is near the water, with the finish on the town green. All finishers receive a medal. The first 300 registrants get a technical short-sleeve shirt. Prizes are awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers and the top three in ten age groups. A 100–200m Kids’ Fun Run, post-race snacks, coffee, a local food truck village, kids’ activities, face painting, race photography, and a best tree-themed costume award are also part of the day. Proceeds benefit the Maplewood Urban Tree Fund.
