Miami Kids Triathlon 2026

The Miami Kids Triathlon is a triathlon for youth held at Miramar Regional Park in Miramar, Florida, with races in the spring and fall. The day begins early, with the youth race starting at 6:55 am from the park at 16801 Miramar Parkway. It is designed for children and teenagers, and the distances vary by age, so younger athletes complete a shorter swim-bike-run course. Ages 6 to 10 swim 100 yards in a pool, bike approximately 2 to 2.3 miles, and run half a mile. Ages 11 to 16 swim 200 yards in a pool, bike 4.2 miles, and run 1 mile. The bike course is closed to traffic, a significant feature for a children's triathlon. All finishers receive a medal, and trophies are awarded to the top three boys and girls in the 6-8, 9-10, 11-12, and 13-16 age categories. The event attracts enough local participation that a spring race has previously sold out, and families should note that dogs are prohibited at the venue.
