Miles for Mutts 5k Run/Walk

Miles for Mutts is an annual 5K run and 1-mile walk held in Marlborough, Massachusetts, beginning at the Moose Lodge. This fall fundraiser, organized by TLC, directs all proceeds to the care of rescued dogs, covering medical bills, surgeries, veterinary visits, consultations, and other rescue expenses. The event accommodates both runners and walkers, not solely focusing on speed. A recent iteration saw 484 participants from 10 states, with ages spanning 1 to 88 years. It generated over $40,000 with support from 33 sponsors and online donors. Dogs are integral to the occasion; adoptable dogs are present, and sponsor levels feature dog-related names such as Gold Bone, Silver Bowl, and Bronze Collar.
