About this race
The Montana Women's Triathlon begins at the Memorial Park city pool in Helena. The race features a 500-meter swim in a 50-meter outdoor pool, consisting of 10 lengths. This is followed by a flat 10-mile bike ride and a 3-mile run or walk. The event is designed as an accessible multisport race for women, offering the option for participants to form three-generation teams.
The bike course utilizes a combination of paved city trails, packed dirt, and short gravel sections, with mechanical assistance available. The run or walk route is primarily within Centennial Park. The event's focus is on women supporting women through sport, with proceeds benefiting local organizations like Girls Thrive, Running for Montana's Future/The Angel Fund, the Helena Cyclones Interscholastic Mountain Bike Team, the Helena Lions Swim Team, and contributions to a community pool project in Helena. Volunteers manage race-day tasks, including lap counting, bike course monitoring, and run course direction.
