PS I Love You 5K and 1 Mile 2026

The PS I Love You 5K and 1 Mile begins at the Kohl Family YMCA in Akron, Ohio. A chip-timed 5K run and an untimed 1-mile walk both commence at 9:00 AM. Packet pickup is available starting at 8:00 AM. Registration fees increase after September, and shirts are only guaranteed for those who register before that date. The event commemorates Patrick Steurer, a graduate of St. Vincent-St. Mary High School and a member of the downtown Akron YMCA. He completed his first half marathon in under two hours and passed away during a training run. His father, Dan Steurer, was also closely involved with the YMCA and led the Jack-O-Lantern Jog 5K for twenty years. Awards are presented to overall winners, juniors, masters runners, and various age groups up to 59. A Top Dog prize is also awarded to a pet-and-owner team; dogs are asked to begin at the rear on a short leash.
