Coastal Delaware Running Festival

The Coastal Delaware Running Festival starts and finishes on the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk, with a race weekend centered on flat, fast routes along the Delaware coast. Runners can select a full marathon, half marathon, 9K run/walk, Saturday 5K run/walk, or challenge runs. The full marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifier for runners age 16 and up. The courses incorporate coastal Delaware landmarks, Delaware State Park paths, and historic Lewes, making the event more than a simple road race by the beach. Participants may include marathoners seeking a qualifier, half-marathon runners, walkers, 5K participants, and individuals completing multiple races via the challenge format. Following the finish, the event features a boardwalk gathering with complimentary beer, food, music, and cheering. Proceeds benefit the Delaware Seashore Preservation Foundation and other local charities.
