Semper Fi 5k 2026

The Semper Fi 5K is a Pensacola-area charity run with Marine Corps origins, held annually for over four decades. It started as The Beirut Relief 10K Run, established to support children and families of Marines and Sailors lost in the Beirut barracks bombing. Over 500 military and civilian runners participated in the inaugural event, which raised more than $4,000 for a Marine Corps scholarship fund. Local active-duty military units and high school JROTC groups run in formation with civilian participants. Marine 1stLt Chris Holzworth initially proposed the race, MATSG-21 adopted it, and the Marine Corps League later took it over with TEL Staffing & HR as a partner. Proceeds now benefit local children's nonprofits and other Pensacola-area charities, having raised nearly $725,000.
