2026 Shrewsbury Trails 5K

The Shrewsbury Trails 5K is an annual trail race at Lake Street Park in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. The 5K starts at 9am, with a kids’ race following at 10:15am. This is a local off-road race, not a road 5K. The park setting offers runners trees, open fields, bog bridges, and varied footing instead of pavement from start to finish. The course follows wide cart paths around a meadow loop before transitioning to narrower single-track trails alongside Meadow Brook and through denser forest. Runners will see signs of beaver activity along the route. The race highlights the open spaces the Shrewsbury Trails Committee works to preserve, promote, and protect with town departments. Families can remain near the event: Lake Street Park provides ample parking, a large field for gathering, and a separate Kid Run for ages 12 and under on the lacrosse field.
