Sportspectrum Firecracker 5k Race for Research

Run through historic South Highland Subdivision, one of Shreveport’s oldest & most beautiful neighborhoods, as part of America's 250th Birthday celebration. The 42nd Anniversary race offers a scenic and challenging course for runners, walkers, and sightseers. The first 250 registrants pay $17.76. A kids' fun run includes a finisher's medal. The post-race party features hot dogs, hamburgers, and Great Raft Beer. Prize money is available for top finishers, with a $500 bonus for breaking the course record.
